STATEMENT

With regret, we must share the news of Y Parlwr's immediate closure.

Y Parlwr has produced fantastic food, wine, and service since opening last year. This has been acknowledged in the form of critical acclaim, and the award of 2 AA Rosettes. However, faced with steeply increasing costs and pressure on our customers' budgets, we just can't make it work financially.

This decision was not made lightly, and we have wrestled with it, dedicating considerable time to exploring options to sustain the restaurant, but without success.

The choice to close stems from persistent financial challenges exacerbated by rising energy costs, the ongoing cost of living crisis, and price hikes in other areas of the business; burdens that, like you, we have shouldered, but there comes a point where we can do so no longer.

Our inaugural year at Y Parlwr has been filled with moments of warmth, love, and support from each one of you, for which we are immensely grateful. As we navigate this challenging time, we anticipate there will be questions. To assist in providing information, we have compiled a set of FAQs, hoping to address some of the immediate inquiries you may have.

Being an integral part of the Rhosneigr village community has been a privilege, and we will dearly miss the regular interactions with all of you.

Until our paths cross again.

The Parlwr Team

Q: When is the last day of operation?

A: Our last day of operation was Saturday 27th January, 2024. The restaurant is currently undergoing processes to conclude its operations.

Q: I purchased gift vouchers in 2023; what will happen to them?
A: Regrettably, as we are closing immediately, these gift vouchers are no longer valid at

Y Parlwr. You will have the option of transferring them to be redeemed against meals or accommodation at Sandy Mount House, where we will add 15% to their value by way of apology. Otherwise the full value of the voucher will be refunded to you.

Q: I have a booking in 2024; what does this mean for me?
A: If you have a reservation beyond our closing date, we regret to inform you that it will be cancelled, and your deposits will be refunded. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

Q: How can I contact you for more information?

A: For any additional questions or concerns, please contact our General Manager, Jon, via email at jon@sandymounthouse.co.uk. We appreciate your understanding during this challenging time.

Thank you for being a valued part of something extraordinary. We will miss serving you, and we are grateful for the memories we've shared.
